Welcome to Year 3

We have two classes Ruby and Carnelian

Our Teachers are Miss Emslie (Ruby Class) and Mrs Simpson (Carnelian Class)

Our Learning Support Assistants are Miss Larkwood, Mrs Voules and Mrs Sharma 

We have additional teachers in our Year 3 Team who cover PPA, these are Mrs Sidhu and Miss Barclay. As a team, we strive to provide the children with some great experiences whilst they are with us in Year 3. We have planned an exciting curriculum that is delivered through topics. This builds upon all that they have learned in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. As the year progresses, the children will become more independent learners and will develop their resilience so that they are prepared for Upper Phase. 

PE is on Monday and Thursday afternoons. Children should come to school wearing their PE kits on those days.

Now the children are in Year 3, they  can change their reading books themselves. An adult will check they are reading the correct books. We kindly ask that their reading record books are signed three times a week by an adult at home.

The children are given homework on Fridays, that is set on Google Classroom. They need to complete the tasks set by the following Thursday. 

If you have any questions throughout the year, then please do not hesitate to speak to your child's class teacher.
